Style Division: Paris 2050

By Destroyx | June 10, 2010

A few months ago I had the pleasure of shooting the promotional images for the new Miss X eyelash range ‘Paris 2050′ with the inimitable Amanda and Jason from Redrum Collaboration. The amazing Sarah at My Big Hair Day was responsible for the two tone braided updo. I am so pleased with the outcome and couldn’t have done it without this amazing team. YAY!

Amelia, the things you do with eye makeup is seriously incredible. You really are able to turn your face into a canvas and do wonderfully unique things. This look is kind of on the other side of the same coin as the cover of Hideous, twisting the usual way a person’s face looks, but this time in a beautiful way rather than the disturbing visual of that cover.

Vinessa- I heart the spats too..! Thanks sweetie

    M. - Mac Ruby Woo + something I can’t remember off the top of my head. I will write about it in my Makeup Mayhem post tomorrow

Katta Kvack - Aww.. thanks so much for your kind words!

Natan- Umm… my boobs are where they always are. I just am particularly flat chested in general.

Lyn - Yeah I love the braids Sarah did. I normally don’t do them but she made them look super amazing.

    Terradoll - I have a stripe obsession! =)

Grimm- Aww… thanks sweet pea. I’m glad you’re you, because you rule!

Ruby Roulette- Thanks for the lovely comment sweetie.

Maggie - Yeah I think the hypersaturation works really well in creating a futuristic atmosphere

HarbourMaster- Yeah I’m so happy that the theme was came through the final photos. Sometimes that doesn’t always happen. I agree.. Sarah is an amazing job on the hair!

Queen Titania- That’s why I love makeup, you can really transform yourself completely. This makeup gave me a crazy hyperglamour look.

Dan Ouellette- Oh oh.. I owe you email.. and we gotta shoot too. Yes sir!

Looking forward to the collection and can’t wait for the debut! and lol; your boobs are fine. So I have a question for you… and excuse me if you answered this already. I did go throught your blog a couple of times but I might have missed it. Do you apply your eye make up with brush or sponge applicator things? I use a brush… but it seems really hard to get the eye shadows in the right saturation. (Like I gotta go over with a brush 10 times to get the color right and if I do… it looks really blurred out) I use decent quality eyeshadows so I doubt that’s it. and I do use a primer.

Awww, Destroyx, stunning as always. I love the corset and esp the make-up is incredible. Classic yet very futuristic, like Blitz said.

It really was a delight to see you at WGT this year. I was working next to the shop where your sales booth was. Unfortunately I was really tired (16 hours of work, I thought I’d die) when I would have had the time to drop over to ask you for an autograph. (Ahem. I sound like a groupie, but I just wasn’t expecting to see you there.)
Well, my man was too nice to get me one for me (he had a mohawk, just in case you might remember him after seeing so many people).
So, just wanted to say thanks for giving me the two autographs, the sticker is now on my car :D *keke*

    Lots of love xx

Amelia- That’s one reason I’ve never been personally into body modification. I can modify myself more extensively and dramatically through clothing and makeup, and have it cater to my daily whims. Plus it is an art I can do myself rather than needing to go to someone else.
