Freyagushi London Studio Visit
By Destroyx | April 29, 2010

When I was last in London, I had the pleasure of visiting the studio workshop of Freyagushi. Agathe is an amazing designer and wonderfully warm person and we share a very common design aesthetic. In many ways I see her as my fashion twin with our joint passion for odd medical fashion with an eccentric kawaii bent.
In the near future we will be collaborating on many projects which I can’t wait to share with you all. In the mean time, please enjoy some of the photos I took of her studio. The military inspired pieces are from her new ‘Conform’ collection which juxtaposes the strong connotations of army fabrics with ultra feminine design features such as ruffles, crinolines and puffy sleeves. My favourite aspect of the collection would definitely have to be the pieces embellished by bloody bandage ruffles. The collection is currently available from the Freyagushi etsy store.
If you are in the London area, please come to Torture Garden this Saturday, as Freyagushi will be presenting a fashion show which I can guarantee will be amazing. Also, please say hi to me if you come!

I love her work. It is so well constructed and I love the new lines juxtaposition of military mans world and the most feminine of silhouettes.

Wow a collaboration would be to die for, I think! I love Freyagushi as well! I definitely look for medical inspired with the mix of rough and pretty pieces, like military and feminine. It’s great how she gives style ideas with her pieces sometimes, too. Just to show the versatility and different looks you can achieve.

Miss X + Freyagushi? Sounds like a great combo. The blood-stained/bandage stuff is my favorite, too. They have the funnest (most fun?) product pictures.

The studio pretty much looks like heaven! I’m really excited about a collaboration between you two! I’ve been a freyagushi lover for quite some time (I remember a few years ago drooling over a hello kitty corset, I think it was) and maybe this will make me actually get around to saving up to buy a corset from her!
