What’s in my bag - March 2010

I’ve always like reading those voyeuristic “what’s in my bag” posts from stylish bloggers like Nubby and Gala, but I’ve never had the inclination to do one. That is until my friend Yoshi asked me to take some photos for an interview for That’s Lady Like (which I’ll post tomorrow).
So here’s a list of the stuff that’s in my bag for the curious:
- Sketch Book (very important at the moment as I’m designing a new jewellery range and every idea needs to be recorded and savoured)
- Moleskine notebooks (New York City Moleskine and 2 smaller moleskines so I can organized my thoughts for my blog and my makeup line)
- Purell Hand sanitizer (a must, especially if one frequents seedy venues bars as often as I do)
- Hells Belles NYC leopard print wallet
- Ancient Ipod and headphones
- Angelspit pill box (filled with vitamins, honest!)
- MAC Ruby woo lipstick
- Sharpie
- Tape measure (important when you’re out trim shopping, believe me)
- Two crappy nokia phones (one for my UK number and one for my US number)
- Miss X makeup brush
- MAC Studio Fix foundation
- Gloomy Bear claw keychain
- Djarum Black clove cigarettes (purchased for a photoshoot)
- Destroyx.com business cards
- Rayban Wayfarer glasses (to channel my inner geek)
- BAALSPIT Voodoo doll (My friends in the Japanese industrial band Baal made this for me!)

I love the glasses and the headphones. And I think it’s really smart to carry around a sketchbook. I have 2 different Moleskines - one for my ideas, and another one just where I make my mini collages, so I have something to look at to get inspired.

oh I love moleskine, I always need sth to scribble ideas into.
I’d recommend to add tissues when going out jsut in case the skanky bars got no toilet paper left :P
People who are looking for black cigarettes in Europe, I really recommend Black Devils, it’s a dutch brand and not sold everywhere, main type smells of vanilla which is really nice and the others taste of chocolate, so good you wanna lick the filter, you might want to use them next time for a shoot ^^

Ruby Woo is THE best red lipstick of all time!
And I sorely miss Djarum Blacks here in the states. Since being made illegal, they did release Djarum Black cigars but it’s just not the same. : (

It is nice to see that some people don’t need fancy phones and ipods. That wallet is adorable, but I am slightly surprised that with your level of organization you don’t have compartments for everything in there! …or maybe you do.

Hien- Haha.. not stylish.. just anal about colour =)
myfadingmuse- No.. I’m not really a smoker.. only if I’m out partying and succumb to peer pressure.
Aciel- yeah I know! those things are worse than real cigarettes I heard.
Natan - Yup.. i religiously take vitamins.
Rak- I know! It’s quite voyeuristic to know what people carry around with them.
Nadia - Ooo.. I like the idea of the mini collages. that sounds awesome.
U-tarou/BAAL - I love my BAALSPIT doll. I carry it with me all of the time =)
Rage Incarnate - yeah.. normally I have tissues too actually!

Steve- I want one so badly!.. but I can’t afford it yet. maybe in a few months =(
Queen Titania- Yeah… I have a TOTAL BRICK for a phone. It’s over 6 years old =) Yeah my bag had lots of compartments.. so does my wallet. I need to be super organised!
Disposable Darling- it’s in the third picture down. Normally I carry a Betsy Johnson bag but I didn’t bring it with me from Australia. My friend who works for Kate Spade gave me with red leather patent croc bag which is pretty sweet.
