Style Division: Fur and Bows
By Destroyx | January 30, 2010

Another fur inspired style division comes courtesy of this $3 H&M faux fur scarf. A vintage boudoir look with a modern twist that would be perfect to wear to some of my favorite clubs like Dances of Vice in New York or Boheme Sauvage in Berlin.
This vintage inspired outfit is brought to you by some of my favorite things that I have been wearing daily. My giant grey bow by Forever 21 has rarely left my head since I bought it for $5 a few weeks ago, and my 6 strap suspender belt by Kiss Me Deadly has become a staple undergarment. My last obsession I should mention are my giant stripy hair slides by H&M which are the perfect clips to keep errant curls in place (without needing to use heat on my bleached hair).
Necklace: Miss X Jewellery Division ‘Bad Luck’ Charm Necklace (available at at Black Pill Red Pill & Etsy)
Sequin hotpants & Polka dot bustier: Topshop
6 strap suspender belt: Kiss me deadly
Nylon stockings: Cevrin (bought from Hepburn and Leigh)
Shoes: Dsquared2
Grey bow hairband: F21
Leather gloves: Mimco

What an awesome return for Style Division! A truly truly divine outfit, and that bow is the perfect topper. I always die a little when I see the great things online from Forever 21 and H&M, knowing we don’t have one in Australia. But thank god for KMD and their smashing suspenders- a staple of mine too!

Your hair is DIVINE. The whole outfit is, but I’m in awe of your hair…

Lovely, very glam! Your hair looks great! I saw those stripey clips in H&M the other day, niiice. I really like that close up image of the shoes with spikes on top of the chest with a barcode :D

I love everything! The shoes, stockings, top, scarf… Your necklace goes great, too. Awesome hair - the clips seem real handy while adding an element, and those barrel curls are to die for.
This makeup style gives quite a different look from usual, a definite retro vibe. I am reminded of ’40s Chinese ladies.

I LOVE the hair in this style division. Also I never thought of buying the Bad Luck Charm Necklace, until now. It suits that shoot. *Thumbs up*
Overall, one of my favorites. ^_^

I love that bustier! And your shoes. And that hair bow. And your eyebrows. And the font you used for the header. And just about everything else too.
I still need to buy some of your jewelry! I hope there will still be stuff in stock when Chinese New Year rolls around. haha >.>

Your scarf is exactly the same shade as your hair!
White, with a slight purple sheen, and small parts of black. I wonder if you realised that when you bought it…
Anyway, you look gorgeous.

LOVE the mauve and grey/silver theme here, as well as the vintage styling. That scarf I first thought was a bolero - it is to DIE FOR! Also I just love the moody lighting and photography; Karl is really good!

Fabulous shoes - I love the detailing on the underside!
Oh, and I agree with Nikk F. - seeing Zoog in a similarly themed shoot would be brilliant.

This is amazingly beautiful! I can’t believe this is the same top I saw a couple of months ago! I never thought you would rock this bustier!

You’re stunning as always!!
Today unfortunately I broke the skull hand bracelet… ç___ç
I really hate myself!!
What could I do to fix it?

Super Kawaii Mama- Aww.. that’s such a nice thing to say, especially coming from you. I love all of my KMD stuff, their stuff is so well priced considering the quality. If you ever want anything from F21, I’d be happy to ship it to you!
Ashe Mischief- The hair came out well accidentally, but I am stoked I figured out how to tame my bleached dry hair!
yoshi- I’ll be back in NYC soon and we can all hang out and be silly yes!! Flame is getting back from Equador probably the same time as I am getting back and we can all have a party or something.
Jenni/sillyovaries - Yeah the trunk is the only piece of furniture we have!
Jessica- YAY for eyebrows. The bad luck charm necklace is a limited edition, so I think we only have about 10 of those available.
trashtastika - I know Karl is getting really good. This was all done with natural lighting too, so it’s even more awesome.
Terradoll- I didn’t get very good makeup shots to do a tutorial for it, but I will keep it in mind for future makeup tutorials. I didn’t realise people would like the look so much!
Noelle- Yay! I hope you love the necklace!
Twisted- I bought the bustier a few months ago and never wore it because I had nothing to go with it… then I just figured it out a few days ago and it was like… aha!
Maggie- These are my most favourite shoes in the whole world!
SadLullaby- Oh no! Which part of the bracelet broke? Send me a photo at destroyx.angelspit@gmail.com and I’ll see if it’s reparable.

Of all of your gorgeous outfits this is my favourite so far, you look incredible. Beautiful photos, an intricate collection of garments and accessories and immaculate hair & mu, as usual. Can I be you for a day please?
February 23rd, 2010 at 12:43 pm
This is incredibly unique to me from your other outfits, I love it! Gray is one of my most common colors in my wardrobe- I can’t wait till it gets a bit warmer to start pairing my super fuzzy gray hoodie with legwarmers and my distressed DIY skirt from hollywoodrenegade.
