Style Division: Hello Wolfgirl

By Destroyx | January 12, 2010

I’ve always been fascinated by wolves and the tale of little red riding hood. So when I saw these Iron Fist Werewolf heels at Trash and Vaudeville a few weeks back, they called to me. However, they sat sad and unworn for a month or so as I couldn’t figure out what to wear with them.

The other day I found this barbaric fur scarf in the bargain bin at H&M for $3 and I knew I had found the perfect match for my wolf heels, as it seemed only appropriate to wear something a little feral to keep in with the spirit of the shoes.

Finally, the red touch of the sock garters, with the red chain bracelet and very red lips makes me think that a little bit of red riding hood finally got mixed in with the wolf.

Funny story: I was nearly finished doing my makeup when a ferocious drip of blood fell from my left nostril. The first thing I thought was, ‘wow, that crimson is such a great colour, it really matches my makeup’. Half an hour later after my nosebleed had subsided, I instantly regretted not taking the photos with the nosebleed, as I think it could have added a sinister overtone to the images. I’ll keep the concept in mind for future shoots though!

Crest necklace and red chain bracelet: Miss X Jewellery Division (available at at Black Pill Red Pill & Etsy)
Dress: H&M
Werewolf Shoes: Iron fist
Fur scarf: H&M

P.s. For those of you who are interested in the history of the little red riding hood tale and reading various permutations of it over the years, check out this book by Jack Zipes, it’s a great read.

I faced my fear of e-shopping to buy some of your amazing jewellery, including the crest necklace. It looks stunning on you, and I really enjoy the wolf-themed Style Division this week. Wolves are my favorite animals, so I’m happy to see someone else spreading the love.

I only wish that they made those Iron Fist Werewolf shoes in my size. A girl can dream, right? ;)

I’m off to draw pretty pictures now, inspired by this post. Rock on, girl.

Beautiful style, as always. As a fellow red riding hood fan, I love the wolfish influence! And I am totally jealous of those shoes.
Loving the jewellery too - can’t wait for my bracelet to arrive! :)

Great… now everytime I listen to “Wolf” or “Paint Hell Red” I’m now gonna imagine you with a nosebleed growling at the camera. LOL. Alas, there are no ref. to the story in the new album, but I’m sure I can find them.

You must really love your fairy tales. It’s been 19 years and I still love them to death, especially now that they are not as light and pure as originally told to me. (To me, a fairy tale based style division would be all kinds of awesome.)

But, still… Your jewelry line calls to me… I signed up for a job and hopefully within two weeks, I’ll get it, work my ass off, and spend the first paycheck on one of those pieces.

I’m sorry that this comment is long winded. I just have a lot to say about that stunning outfit.

I’m still waiting for my Angelspit order… It passed one month since the delivery… Maybe cause I’m so far away from USA? :( Hopefully I’ll get it in near future.

I have the very same scarf! Although it cost me £8, it was a steal!
And I love the shoes. They’re way better than the Zombie Stomper heel Iron Fist brought out a few months back. Fierce!

I’m loving this look! You look as though you could be the heroin (or villian ;]) in a Little Red Riding Hood tale of your own!
But above all else you look absolutely stunning. I’ve definitely noticed your style influencing my own outfits recently. (:

Tao- Hair tutorial is shortly on hold, but I’ll get around to it eventually…! I wish I had all of my stuff with me, but because I’m travelling it makes things harder.

nikk F- Nope, I don’t have these in boot form.. though I wish they came in boot form.

Maggie- Woo! Mine were the last pair in the store so I’m really glad I nabbed them. I just have to wear them out more!

Tae Dark- Nope, I won’t be doing a tutorial because it’s a fairly rudimentary look that’s similar to the eyes on the prize look.

Ja- Hey thanks so much for your order! I totally appreciate it! Also, yay for drawing… I’m sure what you’ll come up with will be awesome. I’m glad I could have inspired you.

Cy- Nope, it definitely is fake, I mean it cost $3 from H&M! =)

Disposable Darling- They are one of my favourite brands, I LOVE their graphic design work.

    yume ninja- I have a sock garter fetish… I loveeeee them…

Terradoll- WOO! Thanks for ordering, I hope you like the bracelet!

Bianca- I know.. it would have been awesome… next time!

P-chan- Well.. having a job is good fun and you can buy all sorts of fun stuff with the cash, you will not regret having a job.

    Avarine- Thanks sweet heart.

Natan- One month is kind of a long time for an order to arrive… which website did you order it from? Surgeon-x.com or Blackpillredpill.com? I will check it for you.

    chris/devntone- Thanks pretty!

Heartcorecuteness- Yay for us having the same scarf! Great minds think alike.

    Thomas- I prefer villain… hehe….

hoping to see the lips necklace in a store in aus soon. desperately want but i seriously cannot afford shipping

  22. Destroyx Says:
    January 13th, 2010 at 7:25 pm

Blitz- most of the stuff I find is at chain stores like H&M and forever 21 because I can’t afford really expensive stuff!

prettycannibalgirl- Yeah the shipping to Australia is quite expensive unfortunately… We will be selling this through Redstripe soon in Perth but that’ll be in their retail shop and I’m not sure if they’ll sell it online.

Natan- Ok I’ll check to see when it was sent out. The orders don’t normally take longer than 2 weeks to arrive overseas.

Miss Peregrin- YAY for blog stalking! The shoes were actually very affordable which is awesome.

    maraluce- Thanks sweet heart.

Diana- Ohh.. I should check that book out, thanks for the heads up!

Great outfit post - you look incredible. PS - I have the same fur scarf from H&M….I got every colour they had! (Purple, black and a kind of brown mottled one that my husband affectionately refers to as “the tabby”…). They were so cheap but utterly fab and I wear them with everything…x

  29. Destroyx Says:
    January 15th, 2010 at 2:45 pm

Poppy- Great minds think alike, you must have good taste =) Yeah I got the purple one too! But I didn’t see the brown one available, or I definitely would have got it too. I am doing another style division next week with the purple one.

We recently got a New Look, and have a tiny topshop, but thats all we have decent-clothes wise!
(and Topshop can be pretty expensive on the nice things too, sadly :()
