Miss X Perspex Range Sneak Peek
By Destroyx | December 31, 2009
The crest necklace above is the pièce de résistance of the collection.
I thought I’d post two sneaky pictures of the upcoming Miss X Jewelry Division perspex range that I’ve been working on constructing in bulk, photographing and cataloging. I’ve been spending my time sourcing the best chain and metal findings to make sure these are jewelry pieces that will last.
Earring packaging and Black Heart earrings.
One of the things I’ve been obsessing over recently is quality packaging for the jewelry pieces to ensure that they arrive safely and that they can be stored appropriately.
Zoog and I are pretty damned excited about finally being able to open the webstore for these designs, which we will probably be launching in about a week… so we’d better get back to work!

wow, looks awesome. as a fellow artist, i think one of the reasons i admire you so much is that you go beyond just wanting to try something and go head on into actually doing it. it’s great how many things you dabble into, everything comes out so fantastic. makes me wanna be fearless and go out, stop just dreaming, and start doing!

Oh wow! They look absolutely amazing! I’ve always loved Perspex jewellery, I think they have a certain ’something’ special about them.
I’ve always wanted to make my own Perspex accessories, but I lack the tools and resources :(
I can’t wait until you release these for sale :D

Aaaah! I cannot WAIT! I got the black Destroy necklace at your Cleveland show and wanted others so badly but didn’t have the funds. My best friend got a necklace at your Los Angeles show, so I know she’ll be excited, too. YAY!!! Hope you enjoy your New Year’s Eve! <3

Helyx- These puppies are laser cut.
PVC Sadistic- That’s such a nice thing to say… My whole life pretty much revolves around the question ‘what if?’… so I plunge headfirst into so many projects for good or bad =)
Jennie- Perspex is basically sheet plastic. So you need a machine to laser cut the designs. You can’t really make it as such, as it’s prefabricated.
Kali_Lynn- Me too! I got my final shipment of perspex today, so it’s full steam ahead. woo.
Nikk. F.- No you won’t have too.. there will be reasonably priced stuff for everyone!
HeartGrenade- If you know how to do illustrator or corel draw you can make your own perspex stuff… you can go to any sign making shop and get it cut. I get mine done at university, but there are many plastic fabricators in Australia!
Maggie- Yeah it’s my baby! I have been wanting to do this for a long time and finally I have the chance!
Edita- Woo!
Terradoll- I’ve made about 20-30 of each design to begin with. I will probably make these limited edition because I want to work on a new range pretty soon! I have already drawn out the new concepts.
Videokid- Yeah I like the destroy necklace too!
Rebecca- That’s my motto!
Pash- WOO!
Ashe Mischief - I like the crest one too.. but probably not my favourite design, I can’t wait to show you all the rest =)
Charvelle- I have even more skeleton hands coming.. yay.
Emilia- Awesome… I actually have improved the chain quality compared to the ones I had on tour so I think you will enjoy the upgrades. I’m excited about NYE too!

Beautiful jewelry!!!
Upon first glance I thought that necklace was made of latex, like something by Artwith Designs.
I like these, they look like they’re made of good quality metal, unlike the cheap junk you see at stores like Hot Topic. I can’t wait until these are out, and I can afford them!
December 31st, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Looks amazing! I’m really excited for it to come out! Hopefully I will be able to afford something.
I love the tin box for the earrings, too. I’m sure the packaging will be gorgeous as you are so attentive to all those little things that add nice touches.
December 31st, 2009 at 1:25 pm
It’s stunning!
Dear lord, I know I’m going to want the lot!!
Hopefully I’ll get money for my birthday so I can buy some stuff :)
I think the packaging is beautiful too
and I’m in love with the crest necklace…
Honestly, how do you manage to do everything that you’ve managed so far? Theres either 3 of you, or you’re organized to the extreme!
xx

Like everyone before me has mentioned, there pieces are phenomenal. It’s great that you’ve really expanded your entrepreneurial spirit! YOU GO GIRL!
I’m excited about the line’s debut. Hope I can afford at least a couple pieces!
December 31st, 2009 at 2:03 pm
Very nice. I love the necklace, and hope I will be able to buy something. Happy New Year. :)
December 31st, 2009 at 2:24 pm
I love the top necklace!! I can’t wait for the shop to open!
December 31st, 2009 at 3:47 pm
These are sooo cute! They look hard to make, and it looks like there’s a lot of effort put into them. I would absolutely buy one! So exciting.
December 31st, 2009 at 9:31 pm
These are so amazing!
I saw the first one on Nubby Twiglet a while ago…
I’d definetely buy those (if my mom lends me her credit card…. )
Do you plan putting your staff on Amazon.com anythime soon?
Or you’ll be selling this things (+ makeup and Angelspit merch) just through your websites?
December 31st, 2009 at 10:31 pm
Oh my god I am so excited. I’ve been waiting for this since you first mentioned your new accessories line!
Expect a big damn order when they become available; I’ll probably want one of everything.
January 1st, 2010 at 2:15 am
Hells Yeah!!!!
I can’t wait. I saw Nubby wearing one and was instantly jealous. These will be perfect additions to my wardrobe. Can’t wait to get my hands on them. The designs are so intricate and kickass especially the crest. I am sitting in my computer chair shivering with glee!!!!
January 1st, 2010 at 11:32 am
I’ve been obsessed with that crest necklace ever since I saw it on Nubby Twiglet’s website a few days back. It’s gorgeous, as are the earrings and the packaging aesthetics. I anxiously await the day that your jewelry adorns my body.
January 1st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
oooooh, it all looks amazing! i can’t wait till they go on sale! this is very dangerous for my resolution to start saving money :p
January 2nd, 2010 at 12:43 am
I keep coming back to look at the crest piece. Is it wrong that I think it would look amazing on a black brocade choker/collar?
January 2nd, 2010 at 4:27 am
Very cool! I love perspex jewelry. I can’t keep my eyes off the crest & destroy pieces.
You amaze every time with your designs. I can’t wait for the release of your collection :D
January 2nd, 2010 at 12:07 pm
As a lover of heraldry, viewing of the crest necklace absolutely resulted in a blush response.
January 3rd, 2010 at 2:56 am
They look pretty awesome so far! :D
January 3rd, 2010 at 8:33 pm
Brilliant!
It all looks good, but PLEASE tell me it wont be marketed as “jewelry”! It’s jewellery - remember your roots!
Either way, I’ll be getting my hands on some ASAP.
January 3rd, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Blitz- I’m a workaholic unfortunately… =\
Samantha- We gotta meet up and I’ll give you some things to do a competition for Haute Macabre?
Crysti- I’m going to make everything as affordable as I can. I will have things that are cheaper and some things that will be more expensive because they take longer to make.
Flopitron- We have our music through amazon, but I’ve never actually put other stuff up there. I don’t know how that works!
Dee- Thanks so much… that’s super sweet of you!
lucindalee- Yeah Nubby was one of the first to get her hands on some of the necklaces, but I think I’ve managed to improve the design and packaging since so you’ll be pleased =)
Kali_Lynn- The crest piece is actually very large and probably wouldn’t work on a choker. when you see it modeled… you’ll understand what I mean.
Sabina- I have an unhealthy relationship with heraldry… I have been obsessed with designing crests for ages!
Fiend- Oh no! I just realised that I had an automatic spell checker on that messed with my spelling. I’ve been trying so hard to spell everything the right way. Poop. =(

Can’t wait! :) Don’t run yourself ragged on tour!
