Destroy-o-vision #5 Amelia plays with synthesizers
By Destroyx | December 22, 2009

Look at how easy it is to get into modular synthesis, even Catty loves it!
A while back I filmed a blipvert where I talk about using semi modular synthesizers in making fat bass and beats. If you are musically inclined you might enjoy this short video where I use Doepfer’s Dark Energy to demonstrate how easy it is to get into modular synthesis. That was so interesting!! All those sounds are addictive. Granted, you were practically speaking another language the whole time, but if I ever end up recording music I’ll have to come back to this! It must be fun experimenting…I wouldn’t know where to start! I’d love to hear more.

Thanks Amelia! That thing looks about perfect for my current dorm-like setting. Might forego tugging around around my MS-2000. Are there any other similar small semi-modulars you know of?

I have no idea how synths or semi-modulars operate, but that was really interesting! It looks really exciting. I think you broke it down very well, and it’s cool to see you doing the kind of Blipvert that Zoog usually does. And lovely to see you in your “Eyes on the Prize outfit,” of course. You should do it more often!
