Introducing Miss Amelia Arsenic as the infamous Madame Bones…
A chain smoking funeral parlor owner by day and by night a renegade jewelry maker. Madame Bones made a name for herself with her exquisite bone jewelry derived from the finest ivory. Rumours have it her materials are exotic in origin, with many believing she creatively disposes of the bodily remains of recently departed aristocrats.

I was one of those girls that spent most of their childhood playing dress ups alone, creating crazy characters inspired by reading too many books. My personal style has always been about creating characters so I guess some things never change!
With this outfit, I wanted to wear some of my favourite skeletal inspired pieces together. Naturally I thought my living room decorated with anatomical imagery would be a good backdrop for the photographs. The room is super narrow, so I had to sit on the top part of the couch to get a full length shot!
The makeup tutorial for this look will be coming on Thursday. It seems I’ve only been posting makeup and personal style posts recently, but I hope to get a little more variety happening on the site in the next few weeks!

Brilliant. I don’t recall ever seeing an outfit like this before, which is sad I think.
I always wondered how it was you got those giant pieces of artwork on your walls? I would be in your debt if you could reveal all to me about them.

this is such a different look for you with the bow lips. I think that your Madame Bones would make a fabulous bridge partner for my Shanghai Lil. ;)

Woah I love the design for the header!
I’ve been calling myself Caro Bones / Miss Bones for years now.
Would you mind if I use that design on my myspace?
I would be so gratefull, and ofcourse I’ll credit you for it.
Love,
Caro Bones.

Omega- I designed the artworks behind me! They were meant to be t-shirt designs but then I ran out of money to produce them. So I made posters out of them instead.
Rini- Thanks sweetie!
Jennie- Yeah I dig the green eyes too!
Bittersweet12- Hey sweetie! Yeah this is definitely one of my favourite corsets too.
super kawaii mama- Oohhh.. Shanghai Lil, that’s cool. We should do a teaparty with the characters =) Yeah I like the bow lips! A total sucker to keep neat though.
Caro Bones- Sure you can use the header graphic, just put a link back to destroyx.com. Thanks sweetie!

Wicked once more!! I want your living room. Bow lips are a favorite of mine and I can’t wait for the tutorial!! Only you can pull this off so well.
May 20th, 2009 at 12:01 am

I’m definitely a fan of green eyes on asian faces, i blame Big Trouble in Little China. Can’t wait for the makeup tutorial! everything about this is fantastic.
May 20th, 2009 at 2:21 am

May 20th, 2009 at 2:21 am
you have to be one of the most beautiful (and inspirational) women on earth!
Love the posters, will you be producing them on a comercial scale?
May 20th, 2009 at 2:22 am
I love it darling, you look amazing!!
May 20th, 2009 at 5:07 am

May 20th, 2009 at 6:41 am

The ensemble is perfect. Amelia, you’ve yet again stolen my heart and proven why you’re probably the hottest and most talented alt model on this planet.
May 20th, 2009 at 8:27 am
*Speechless*
Destroyx this is brilliant! I LOVE this outfit, and yur first pictures is more than breath taking. I think you should be applying yourself to get into the modeling industry!
May 20th, 2009 at 8:52 am
I love this look. The skelletal theme is almost reminiscent of Death Rock styles, but exectuted with a lot more grace and feminity. Gorgeous!
The bow lips and eyeshadwo look amazing. I just adore green eyes and can’t wait for the tutorial.
When you cut up the halloween tights, how did you stop them from freying?
May 20th, 2009 at 9:32 am
Awesome. I love that corset.
May 20th, 2009 at 9:33 am
Jessica- This is the first time I did green eyes, but I like it!
Diana- YAY! I’m glad you like the look.
Yume Ninja- This is my first time with green eyes… and green eyeshadow would you believe! So, it’s pretty cool it worked out.
Kari- Thanks sweetie!
Rebecca- Awww.. shush you. I am no model! Regarding the posters, I don’t know if I will be selling them because they are so HUGE and the postage on them would be a lot. People don’t like paying for international postage I’ve found.
Ash- Thanks kitten!
Twisted- These are definitely some of my favourite pieces.
kriwz- I am glad you are enjoying the makeup tutorial!
ana r p mendes- If you say so. You’re cute.
Rose- Shush! I’m really not an ‘alt model’, just a clothes horse. =)
vustoxual- Thanks for the thoughts, but I’m not really into modelling all that much because I’ve got way too much performing to do. Plus I’m short.
Luise- Yeah I like the deathrock thing, (hence me collecting all of these clothes), but I’m too neat so it turned out like this. =)
I just cut up the tights with scissors in a really straight line so that it didn’t create any runs. I didn’t seal the tights in any way. I hope they don’t frey (but they were only $2 so it’s ok if they do)
May 20th, 2009 at 11:12 am
Wow, I love this look! It gives you a very sexy, mysterious, and decadent look. I, too, like the deathrock theme, with the skeleton hands and stuff (that’s a nice touch, I didn’t really notice them at first, because it’s like they’re just coming out of your hair or part of the outfit, clasping your collarbones). You remind me of if Alice in Wonderland became the caterpillar or an absinthe addict or something. Definitely demonstrates your versatile talent and makeup genius.
May 20th, 2009 at 1:00 pm
wow. i reallt love this whole outfit! truly amazing
May 20th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
It is so amazing how you come up with these different looks. Thank you for the info about how to adapt the cheap halloween tights for this. I am very tempted to try this with some of the ones I have.
The thing I’m curious about is the up comming accessories collection that you mention. You have such an amazing eye for style. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
May 20th, 2009 at 2:48 pm
“…and by night a renegade jewelry maker”

May 21st, 2009 at 6:13 am
This look is lovely. I was wondering 1) What are tips for styling wigs and do you have a brand you prefer? and 2) What is the anatomical imagery on your wall (print, transfer, mural?) and where did you find it? Its amazing.
♥
May 24th, 2009 at 12:07 pm
I love the outfit in every single way! :D
May 25th, 2009 at 3:15 pm
^_^ finally someone else who makes up characters every time they dress up, I do that not only for myself but out of random too…. i’m trying to draw them out but i have too many ideas to perfect each one
May 26th, 2009 at 3:01 am
That outfit is actually gorgeous :)
you look amazing - you should seriously be a model (as well as everything else…)

Oooo..by the way, is there a certain name for that pipe thing you’re holding?
June 1st, 2009 at 6:12 am
It’s just a cigarette holder, Typhoid.
June 1st, 2009 at 11:48 pm
how soon can we expect to see the bow headband? i thought it was already out and went searching for it (the angelspit website is actually blocked through my router to stop me spending, but i unblocked it) and alas! there was no sign of it in the e-store! pity, because i thought it would go so brilliantly with the outfit i’ve created…
xx

One of my favorite outfits you’ve ever created!
I have a bow like that but it’s on a little comb and it has a tiny veil from it to go over the face…
Oh and the green leopard garter belt is amazing o.O!
November 6th, 2009 at 7:30 am
Aww, I was also a little girl who read too many books and played hours of dress up by myself haha, creating characters is so much fun isn’t it? once you get bored with one character, you can just be someone else =) I admire your style and drive to be good at so many things.
This photo set is amazing and as a photographer / hair and make up artist I am inspired by how flawless your style is, it all comes together so well!
November 20th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Love this outfit…And your walls. :D
I especially like the gloves and the top. I would so wear those…If my mother wouldn’t have a heart attack.
