Competition: Endzeit Bunkertracks IV

I have one copy of the Endzeit Bunkertracks Act IV compilation boxed set to give away to one lucky reader. The compilation consists of four cds in deluxe packaging as described in Design Autopsy #3.
To win, all you have to do is to unleash your inner rivet-head and come up with the concept for an imaginary industrial/ EBM/ dark electro or power noise band. You need to come up with three things:
- Band name
- Hit song title
- Short bio (under 100 words)
For example here’s a fun one Zoog and I came up with:
- Name: Dr Rust and the Grindettes (aus Berlin natürlich!)
- Song: Pound me hard baby (eins zwei drei remix)
- Bio: This groundbreaking German industrial band come from X’burg Berlin and consists of lead singer Dr Rust and his angle grinding sidekicks Smelt and Flux (a.k.a the Grindettes). Donning welding goggles and labcoats this workshop will pound your eardrums to oblivion with their custom made instruments constructed entirely from Russian tank parts. Often referred to as the bastard child of Einstürzende Neubauten and Ministry, Dr Rust and the Grindettes will drive listeners right into the heart of the new industrial age.

Blipvert Grind are a new band from the sawdust state of Australia. Known for their killer sounds produced from their wide variety of blades and saws they are a fan favourite on the stage.
Their hit song “circuit blade crooning” combines the tune of classic crooners music with a mighty circuit blade! The end result is a smash hit!
Having performed in Australia and America they one day hope to saw up the rest of the world one piece at a time!

Knucklegrater is the brainchild of Simuto Kokeshi, a Japanese born artist with a penchant for jackhammers and creative new uses for kitchen appliances. Say what now? Well, take a listen to his latest album, ” Kissing With Tongs” (Bipolaroid records) and all will become clear.
Having established a cult following with regular gigs at Tokyos infamous “Warm Monkey” club, he decided to set his sights on an unsuspecting overseas market.
When asked recently what he most liked about Australia, Simuto answered:”You have sharp forks.”

3. Bio: The Koller Bones originate from the gritty insides of London, Britain. They had their first hit in 1993, with “I feel it in my Ghost” which sold generously worldwide. This was then topped in 1996 with their full length album “GRRRL POIZON” a compilation of previous demos and 6 brand new tracks.
They have toured in Europe and Australia, as support acts for the likes of The Birthday Massace and also have toured solo.
They draw inspiration from early 90s rock, the bands Nine inch nails and Angelspit and also abstract art.

TBS originally came from the darkest corners of Manchester, tearing up the ear drums of the underground industrial scene with bass thumping beats and psychotic lyrics about bloody revenge. Their first album, Can’t We Talk This Over? became extremely popular amongst the cyberpunk scene, and the band has only grown in popularity since.

DOOOM! is the ravishing love child of Vancouver based band “Skinny Puppy” and Sonic the Hedgehog. Their heavy hitting songs are accompanied by epilepsy-inducing visuals, which will turn even the most hardcore rivet into a rippling puddle of slime on the floor.
“Fuck Me Gently With a Chainsaw” has been banned in multiple countries because it poses a risk to mental health. The band continues to make its detestable music regardless of popular opinion.

3. Bio: Taiwan Fuckdamage is the innovative new project from former Cold Scalpel frontman Vorn Boden. Hailing from Leipzig, Germany (though some would assume he was born during an amphetamine-fueled orgy in a mental institution) Boden unleashes a non-stop violent assault of 12 cock-rattling tracks on his new album Crimson Sperm. Their unique blending of industrial music with hundreds of other sub-genres ensures that this is a band who will devour you, from the ears down.
So far, the band have played with such famous acts as Dr Destroy, The Big Fuck, Eyekillmankind and History Of Guns. They are determined to “rape the ears of the masses through a perverse aural orgy”, and judging by their latest offering, they’re sure not to disappoint.

Bio: After the surprise success of their Industrial cover of “Wind Beneath My Wings,” Canada’s Subdural Hæmatoma storm the dance floors again with “Headshot,” the leadoff track from their debut album, _Intracranial Pressure_. Taking inspiration from DJ Shadow, Psychopomps, Front Line Assembly, and Haujobb in equal measure, they unleash 13 frenetic tracks destined for the clubs. Amazingly, the beats in “Headshot” were formed entirely out of gunshot loops from presidential assassination attempts, and the sampled guitars were built from old Kenny Loggins’ cassettes. Both “Bloodpiß” and “Scrotal Pressure” also have club potential, and we’ll be keeping our eye on these rivetheads!

3) Bio: H.B. is a German industrial band led by founding member Karan Sjet (Mika Kiyomi, Hioki). H.B. was founded in Berlin when Karan Sjet meet Em Pschill and Tim Höllerer. Oxygen flames, welding goggles, breathtaking scenography, a design drawn up, the band is immediately highlighted by the excellent live presence, but above all to the search for new and ever more extreme sound. The debut album is a masterpiece.

Song: “(ZooGy ZooGy ZooG) Where Are You?”
Bio: After ZooG, her partner in Australian electro-industrial outfit Angelspit, was tragically, fatally crushed by a falling synth in their studio, DestroyX had a meltdown of Britney Spears proportions. Following increasingly erratic live performances (usually involving her playing Angelspit albums while lying on stage and moaning), her solo album, “DestroyedX”, has been delayed indefinitely. This song, a bizarrely reworded cover of the theme song to the children’s cartoon series “Scooby Doo, Where Are You?”, is included on this compilation to give the poor girl some royalties to live on. She was great once, you know.

Artist: Obsolete Human Syndrome
Song: “Chaos Beauty Tao”
Bio: Created and fronted by the multi-talented Miss HydranXea, this eclectic, edgy, and surprisingly melodic industrial band combines grinding synth and guitar sounds with beautiful, melancholy melodies crooned by Miss HydranXea’s angelic voice. She released her debut album, “Death of the Masquerade Dolls,” three years ago, to positive critical reception and a small but enthralled cult following, and has since been joined by DJ Jesus, Max Nola, and Lydia d’Argent. After their hit “Chaos Beauty Tao” on the record “Razor Wire Shrine,” they have risen to enormous critical acclaim and prominence. Bio: AnatomicalJellyfish consists of Ella, Dawn, Lia Flatline, and Halsa Sawdust. Ella and Don met in a record store, both searching for a Jack Off Jill record. The two ended up playing a game over the record; Ella won. Dawn asked if he could listen to it with her and they bonded over black coffee and vegan ice cream. Dawn knew the other two from school. Forming melodies that sound like an aural jellyfish sting, they call themselves the beginning of digital oceannoise. Halsa has a jellyfish fetish, which inspired the name, along with Lia’s obsession with taxidermy and anatomy.

Bio: The last breathy gasps of a dying vacuum cleaner, recorded and tortured in a moment of speed-fuelled serendipity, gave birth to the first sounds of AH, brainchild of ELeKtra LuX and Iziof BaMM.
Thus began a journey through surreal and often disturbing soundscapes of abused household appliances, heavily amplified chemical reactions and distorted scrapings and scrubbings over choppy, metallic beats and obsessive-compulsive lyrics that marked their debut, Immaculate Concept.

Once upon a time little Jimmy got bored of TV and big.bang.boom was born.
big.bang.boom kept little Jimmy happy.
He played with big.bang.boom until he realised it made noises.
The noises were strange, they made images flash in his head, they made things fly and instantaneously combust for no apparent reason.
Little Jimmy then thought it would be fun to share big.bang.boom with others.
But when others came in contact with big.bang.boom their heads expanded, their bodies flipped and they started to sparkle causing a strange melody to play.
Jimmy wants that melody to spread “For the fun of it”.
100 words! Not really industrial but I like the idea. =]

2. Hit song title: Sexually Transmitted Dance
3. Short bio: Appearing pretty much overnight in the shady sidestreets of the redlight district in Amsterdam, Oonst Oonst came crashing into the scene with sirens blaring and middle fingers raised. Drawing inspiration from such powerhouses as The Prodigy, Prince, Christina Aguilera, and “Your Mother’s Vagina”, Oonst will crack open your skull and fuck the meaty contents. They have yet to play a full show as on-stage overdoses and barroom fights seem to be the norm for these assholes.
