Style Division Outfit

Style Division Outfit

Style Division is a weekly fashion column where I document my personal style in all its crazy deviations. This outfit was worn while I was filming a few video interviews for youtube.

Top: White Ruffle Blouse (from some discount store)
Corset: Custom made polka dot cincher by Electra Designs
Skirt: Custom made asymmetrical insane circus skirt from Beyond the Trapdoor in Perth. I bought this on tour a few years back and it’s one of my favourites.
Gloves: Mimco. Fingerless leather gloves are really hard to find, and when I found these it was love at first sight
Stockings: Agent Provocateur
Shoes: TUK
Accessories: Cameo Large Bow Brooch with pearls & oversized PVC bow (made by me!). I might be making more of these to sell because I often get asked about them.

Hell, I’m stunned by the beauty of that corset :O
Oooh, I want one so badly! Was it expensive?
    (I’m broke too,maybe I shouldn’t do this…Ah well)
And your bone is so cute!

Lady Hypocryte- I love the corset too. It was not terribly expensive (when you look at how amazing the corset is), but because I wanted some embellishments like ruffle trimming and ribbon on the bindings it cost extra. Also the hard thing is that there is a long waiting list to get a corset from Alexis. She is really talented and people are queuing up to get her designs. I’m actually still on the list! I want more… I’m a bit of a junky =)

It’s amazing to see the original corset in Alexis’ blog and to see how you’ve styled it– I almost wouldn’t recognize it! You’ve do it justice.

Happy to have come across your blog– seems we have some favorite lady bloggers in common, and I’m anxious to stick around here!

Mise- thankyou! My friend Sarah made it for me last year and it’s still holding up. I think white hair is my favourite kind of hair.

    Persephone66- Thanks lovely!

Ashe Mischief- Thank you for coming to my humble blog. W00t.. you have good taste in ladybloggers. I am subscribing to your blog now too!! I think we have similar taste in AWESOME!

It is interesting to see how different things can look once you style them with different clothing. When I ordered the corset, I wasn’t sure what I was going to wear it with. When I got it, I was in love with the corset but I didn’t know what I was going to wear with so I didn’t wear it for a few months. Then I got it out and tried a few things on with it. It can do a good ‘circus girl’ kind of look and also a really cool pin-up look too. I am going to try and do a burlesque type look as well, but I need better ruffle bum shorts. =)

I just checked Electra Designs livejournal, and she makes beau-ti-ful corsets! And yeah, $5- for an ‘economy waist cincher’ isn’t much at all! Too bad there’s a list though! But oh..I really want one..later, later…

…I meant $50. Stupid typo, sorry!

Lady Hypocryte- get on her waiting list! It’s worth it. =)

I will, since around here, people don’t make pretty corsets! :D But I’ll do it tonight, since my pc is busy cracking things up..sigh

    I like the outfit ^^

But I absolutely love the contact lenses *_*
Where can I get them (in affordable price)?

  17. Destroyx Says:

Murdercute1994- You can get them from your optometrists. They are called ‘crazy eyes’. I don’t know where to get them where you are from though. I don’t recommend getting cheap contact lenses though because your eyes are really important and you don’t want to get anything that could hurt them (like some cheaper ‘party lenses’.)

Oh by the way; would you mind if I ordered the same corset/cincher (as in; the same pattern and black lining, not the ruffles)? =3 It’s something I should never come up with myself, white with black polkadots. So simple but so pretty!PS: Are those black with red lined, open-toe pumps in the background alsp TUK’s? They look familiar..

Lady Hypocryte- Sure you can order that style corset, I don’t mind.

Um.. my shoes are made by Ellie shoes not TUK, but they make similar ones I think.

Hmm, sometimes TUK seems a bit of a copy cat (or the other brand is, I don’t know). You see, I have these very cute kitty-shoes, flat Mary-Jane-like. Mine are from Anarchic, but I saw exactley thesame at the TUK website. Maybe Anarchic is from TUK. Maybe TUK also sells other brand shoes. Ah well..

Hey, I love these photos and your style <3 You do it great justice. I was wondering if it’s OK if I draw the bottom picture of you and publish it on my deviantart website (with a link back here as well of course)? If you like I’ll send you the link.

<3 quite a big fan of yours!!

    Kelly

  22. Destroyx Says:
    December 26th, 2008 at 2:21 pm

Lady Hypocryte- TUK owns Anarchic. Anarchic is actually the cheaper version of TUK that is made in China. TUK is like the mother label if you get what I mean.

Kelly- I would love it if you drew a picture of me! Send it to me I would love to put it up in a ‘fan’ art section =)
